Just One Day is a Colorado-based 501-3c, not-for-profit organization that was founded by Darin (“DJ”) Williams . DJ felt a strong desire to help returning soldiers and veterans, especially those of the Wounded Transition Battalion, transition back into civilian life.
Our goal therefore is to assist these men and women who gave so much to insure our country’s freedom in any way we can. The concept began to take shape several years ago and has matured into our current organization. Just One Day, Ltd. sponsors, arranges and conducts fishing trips throughout the year, mainly in Colorado. The general focus is to provide a one-day outing away from the military routine, hospitals and medical facilities and give our wounded warriors an opportunity to simply “unwind” and relax in a peaceful outdoor environment, and to rehabilitate and reintegrate with society through kayaking, fishing and being in the great outdoors. Our next goal is to offer our services in adjoining states wherever a Wounded Transition Battalion exists.
Feedback from soldiers and their doctors has been very positive and we at Just One Day are honored to be able to offer “Just One Day” of stress-free relaxation and outdoor fun to our returning heroes.
“Thank You for what you have done and the sacrifices you have made in the name of Freedom”
